Schedule for new students in the Spring Semester, 2010

Japanese classes start on Friday, 9th of April

 Students who have not taken any Japanese class in Oita University are required
 to take the Placement Test.

Placement Test

 Date and time: Wed. April 7th, 11:00-2:00 p.m. (Written Exam and Interview)
 Place: Arts. Bldg., 2nd floor, Room 27

Entrance Ceremony and Orientation

  Wed. April 7th, 10:00 a.m.  Arts. Bldg., 2nd floor, Room 27

Orientation for Daily Life

  Thu. April 8th, 9:00 a.m. in front of the International Office.

Orientation for Residents of International House

  Thu. April 8th, 3:00 p.m. in the multipurpose Hall at International House 1st fl.

Orientation for Residents of  International Student Residence (Kishukusha)

  Wed. April 7th, 4:30 p.m. in the meeting room at  Kishukusha 1st fl.
Emergency Financial Support  (Feb. 12, 2009)

As you already know, the world is experiencing an economic crisis. As a result, many international
students in Japan are facing financial hardship. Oita University has recognized this situation and has decided to offer emergency financial support for such students as follows;

1  Eligible students must have began their studies at Oita University prior to Feb 1, 2009, and must be continuing to study at Oita University after April 1, 2009, and must not be currently receiving any scholarship.

2  Amount; 100,000 Japanese yen

3 To apply; please pick up the application form from the International Office (Medical students please pick up the application form at the Student Educational Support Division at Hazama campus). This form will be used to verify eligibility.

4  The deadline for application is Feb 28, 2009

5  Please submit the application form to the International Office (Medical students please submit the form to the Student Educational Support Division at Hazama campus).
